Departments
Protecting and preserving the environment is this department’s main goal. This goal is achieved by involving members in energy awareness programs thru their local utilities such as the round up program with EMC, recycling newspapers, plastics, aluminum cans, and glass, land and wildlife conservation projects through out the county. Members get involved with beautification projects around area parks, provide volunteers for the annual Hidden Garden Tour, sponsor a one mile section in the county for community clean up, provide recycled newspapers and towels to local animal shelters for the animals cages, animal leashes, food and other items when needed, and support local animal rescue and shelter programs.
